Functional Art Products

 

1. What materials are the products made of? 
All products are natural wood ranging from raw wood to treated Acacia wood.


2. Are they waterproof?
Yes they are. All our products are sealed with lacquer.


3. Are the colors non-toxic?
Yes, we use water-based non-toxic colors, and food coloring on our products.


4. Are the products food-grade safe?
Yes all products are food grade safe as long as the lacquer isn’t compromised. Once lacquer is broken down, it is not considered food grade safe. Please do not use a cutting board or have sharp objects to scrape the surface. That will break down the lacquer.


5. Is the product dishwasher safe?
No, it cannot be put into the dishwasher. This could compromise and break down the lacquer. 

 

6. Can they be hand washed?
Yes, gently rinse and wipe clean with a soft cloth. No detergents of cleansers with ammonia to be used. Do not soak in water. Do not scrub with any kind of material. 


7. How long will the lacquer shine last? 
It will generally last 3 years depending on the frequency of usage plus clean & care.

8. What can the products be used for?
Serving or decorative trays, charcuterie board, cheese platter, home decoration, etc. * Do not use it as a cutting board.

Mindful doodling is a creative expression that enables us to live in the moment. It's a hands-on experience to bring about self-awareness to move towards change. We help you explore different doodle exercises with emotions, thoughts, & sensory awareness.

Anyone and everyone can. It requires no artistic background or skill of any kind.

 

3. What are the benefits of mindful doodling?
It helps us to focus on our emotions in the present moment. It's an outlet for stress relief, Studies have shown it helps to reduce cortisol (the stress hormone). Other benefits includes.

Color Therapy 

 

1. What is color therapy?
Color therapy is based on the idea that the use of color in any form that speaks to you, can help evoke emotion, treat physical or mental health. Colors can cause subtle changes in our moods and biology by balancing the body energy centers (chakras). 

 

2. How does it work?
Color Therapy uses the energy relating to each of the seven spectrum colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. The use of colors in various mediums can help to re-balance and/or stimulate the energy centers (chakras).  Some colors are considered to be stimulating, whereas others may be soothing and, therefore, colors may impact one’s energy level, mood, appetite, emotions and even decision-making.

Grounding 

 

1. What is grounding yourself?
Grounding ourselves is the process of balancing our physical, mental, and energy state, while reconnecting them with mother earth. 

 

2. How do I know if I'm not grounded?
When we aren’t grounded, we may feel tired, confused, disconnected, emotionally unstable, vulnerable or thrown off balance quickly. 

 

3. How do I know if I am grounded?
When we are grounded, we will feel more stable, at ease, and consciously present. We are able to accept and let go of tough situations. You feel more at peace with your authentic self.

 

4. Why is grounding yourself important?
When we are grounded, we become our own energy source. It allows our body to access  talents, visions, and goals to create the best life.

 

5. How long should you ground in a day?
A minimum of 30-40 mins a day.
